A solitary figure stands before a sweeping force of color-gold, red, yellow, and green moving like fire caught in the wind. He does not run from it. He watches.
The work speaks of those moments when life places us before something larger than ourselves: transformation, struggle, faith, and the unknown. The darkness surrounding the figure represents what has already been endured, while the explosion of light ahead represents what is still becoming.
